When we created Mind, Money, and Meaning – we wracked our brains and tapped our network. We noticed that there are a lot of programs out there that offer great things – but the people who take them don’t necessarily end up any better off.
We asked everyone we knew, from people like Eben Pagan and Joe Polish to senior execs at Cisco and Quantcast – “When you want to change the vector of your life or your business, how do you do it?” “Why do some people keep growing – with their businesses – and others just seem to stay in the same place producing the same results?” We then looked at our own successes and failures through the years. When were we really able to help people actually change the circumstances of their lives and reap meaningful financial benefits? When did we struggle to be of any help – even though we wanted to so badly?
Going from success to significance
These programs are a deep exploration in what it takes to have a successful, happy and free life. For many of us our biggest challenges today are the same ones we were having a month ago, 6 months ago, and even a year or more ago. Creating a different future with significantly different circumstances requires that we have the appropriate ‘ecological’ support to make it happen.
It’s about creating a life where you wake up each morning and are inspired and excited about what you are creating in the world and can’t believe the talent of the people you are surrounded by. It’s about creating a future that wouldn’t have happened anyway and learning how to change the hearts and minds of those around you. It’s about learning how to make a difference in people’s lives while you do it.
